Vision & Principles

Al-Shabaka, The Palestinian Policy Network, is an independent, and non-partisan, non-profit think tank whose mission is to educate and foster public debate on Palestinian human rights and self-determination within the framework of international law. Al-Shabaka provides a platform for diverse Palestinian viewpoints while upholding the principles of freedom, justice, and equality. Its Policy Advisors produce well-documented briefs and commentaries that address strategic issues related to and relevant for Palestinians around the globe based on the following principles:

• Recognizing the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination;

• Ending Israel’s occupation and colonization of all Arab lands;

• Recognition of the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality;

• Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties and receive compensation for their losses as stipulated in UN General Assembly Resolution 194.
